What is AVM Toolkit?

AVM Toolkit is a web application that allows you to upload astronomical images and tag them with descriptive metadata. This information includes the source of the image, its subject matter and descriptive text, and astronomical information including the source telescopes and location in the sky. It implements the Astronomical Visualization Metadata (AVM) standard that is part of the Virtual Astronomy Multimedia Project (VAMP).

For more information on AVM, please visit the VAMP website at http://virtualastronomy.org/
